DEKRA Media develops a health platform for lorry drivers

The web application is at the heart of the new health promotion programme DEKRA Fit & Safe. With DEKRA Fit & Safe, haulage companies should be able to make the daily work of their drivers healthier and more active from 2023. The web application provides drivers with tips on topics such as nutrition, fitness and mental health over a period of several weeks. The content is adapted to the challenging working conditions in this profession.

 

Among other things, the programme schedule stipulates that truck drivers complete simple fitness training a few days per week. The exercises were selected by the experts for occupational health management at MOOVE GmbH. They can be done in less than 20 minutes without additional equipment. In order to motivate and support the participants, DEKRA Media produced training films on 16 fitness exercises with a trainer from MOOVE GmbH. The films are no more than two minutes long and show exactly which movements are important in a way that is easy to understand.

 

 

Drivers can access the videos at any time and from any location via the DEKRA Fit & Safe web application, which was developed by DEKRA Media. Via the web app, participants have access to engaging content, such as films, videocasts and handouts. Your company decides which content is released and when. This is because the health programme can be scheduled in a customised and highly flexible way. Via their dashboard, participants can also regularly fill out questionnaires on a range of health topics. They can also get in touch with a coach assigned to them, who evaluates their questionnaires and advises them in personal interviews.
